An initial post to get things started

Sadly, one’s career being of considerable concern to one’s self and one’s employer being of particular sensitivity, this blog must remain pseudonymous.

This is regrettable, as I generally like to know who I am talking to and I imagine other people do, too.  I must settle for proclaiming that I am not a musician, nor a sexpot, nor an idiot and trust that my readers, if I ever acquire any, will nevertheless pay a little attention to me.

We shall see how it goes …
